“To All The Boys Always and Forever” is the third part of the “To All The Boys” trilogy on Netflix. I personally really enjoyed the first two, but “To All the Boys Always and Forever” didn’t reach my expectations. “To All the Boys Always and Forever” came out on February 12, 2021 and is available to watch on Netflix.

“To All the Boys Always and Forever” starts off with our two main characters Lara Jean and her boyfriend Peter Kavinsky’s senior year in highschool. In this movie Lara Jean goes on a family vacation to Korea, and while there, she sees what it’s like to have a long distance relationship. Lara Jean doesn’t like being long distance, so she decided to apply to the same college as Peter, even though she doesn’t know if that’s the school for her. She ends up getting the chance to go to New York and falls in love with the college there, but she doesn’t want to let Peter down. Throughout the rest of the movie, Lara and Peter fight, and Lara has to decide whether she wants her college experience with or without peter.

I personally did not like “To All the Boys Always and Forever” because I felt that throughout the movie some more action or intense scenes were needed. Throughout most of the movie there are just simple scenes where they discuss and argue, but nothing major, and there are about two major/intense scenes filled with action. I found myself constantly looking at how much time was left because it felt like the main point wasn’t given until the end of the movie. I felt like the movie was boring, and I just felt like this third movie wasn’t necessary, at least not how they made it. Based on this reason, I didn’t like the movie really much.

The last reason why I didn’t like To All the Boys Always and Forever is because I wish the ending wouldn’t have been a traditional ending like every romance movie. As I watched the movie, I never really seemed sad about the two because I knew from the beginning that this was going to end in a good way like most traditional romance movies. I would have loved to see a plot twist at the very end because that would pull in so much of my attention, and it would have brought the movie all together. This reason is one of the main reasons why I didn’t really find the movie interesting or really good.

One thing I can compare this movie to is the first two movies of this trilogy: “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” and “To All the Boys P.S. I Still Love You Part 2.” The first two movies were filled with plot twists that I didn’t expect that made the movies 100% better unlike “To All the Boys Always and Forever,” which I was able to predict almost everything. The first two movies were also filled with more action and moments that made me feel different emotions, such as being sad, happy, and mad unlike the third movie, which I just felt bored throughout. I feel like the producers of the movie should just have left the two movies and not added another, or I wish they would have made the third movie better than it was.

Overall, I would not recommend the movie because there are way better romance movies on Netflix. I would give the movie a five out of 10 because there were a few small scenes that I liked, but for the most part, the rest were just boring. In conclusion, “To All the Boys Always and Forever” is not a really good movie, and I wouldn’t recommend it to people who have a tight schedule and only have a few hours to spare.
