Valley’s Vikettes have been working hard to support the Varsity Football team and prepare for the upcoming basketball season.

There are nine Vikettes this year, and they had their first performance at the Welcome Back assembly.

During football season, the Vikettes are seen on the sidelines during games, and they perform with the band as well.

Currently, they have been working with guest choreographers from UNLV Pom Squad and Millennium Dance Complex on competition routines. They will compete with a Pom routine and a Jazz routine at competitions in January and February.

The girls will also be performing at basketball half-time shows, where they will showcase all of their hard work.

Vikettes next performance will be at the Christmas Assembly where they will perform choreography inspired by the Rockettes for those in attendance.

It is a Rockette style piece which is very exciting and different,” current Vikette Zoe Jackson explains, adding “What I really like about being a Vikette is being able to do what I love, which is dance, and creating friendships, and showing my school spirit through dance.”
